Sorry I haven't posted an introduction on this site yet. Wolf VanZandt suggested I post this here. Probably by the weekend you will all know more than you ever needed to about me as I will likely post the draft of my therian history here.
I am collecting the chronological stories of other people's therian experiences, and compiling them into an ebook to be distributed to the community once complete.
If you are interested in contributing, here are some ideas of what you could cover, preferably with the approximate date or age that the experience occurred:
1. When/How did you find out you were a therian?
2. What childhood experiences do you strongly feel relate to this? By this I mean things that you feel were out of the ordinary for most children.
3. What childhood experiences do you think might relate to this? By this I mean things you feel might be related to your therianthropy, but could also easily be regarded as normal childhood behaviour.
4. How did you feel and respond around animals? Pets? Wildlife?
5. Who was the first non-therian you dared tell about your therianthropy and what was their reaction?
6. When/How did you tell your parents, and what was their reaction?
7. Could people tell something was different about you?
8. When/How did you discover that you weren't alone?
9. When/How did you find/discover the general community?
10. What does it all mean to you?
I'm not looking for these to be answered as a series of questions, but answered throughout the telling of your history.
These can be done under a different nickname than what everyone knows you by if you want to be really anonymous. At minimum I'd like to publish the contributor's residing country and state/province, and their birth year. If it goes well, I may update it yearly and people can add to their stories over time.
I have never done anything like this before, but I've always been deeply interested in the experiences of how others came to realize they were a therian and what it was like to discover the community, or tell others. I think our individual stories are a very important part of our history.
Please message me if you are interested in contributing, or message/email me your story!
Many Thanks!
