Have you ever seen any of Paul Hogan's (Crocodile Dundee) comedy routines? He used to have a show in PBS. He's about the most hilarious stand-up act (except he sat down) I've ever seen.
I also like Bill Cosby.
A lot of my favorite comedians are long gone - Marty Feldman, Victor Borgia, Abbott and Costello (Who's on First).

Abbott and Costello are one of my favorites.. I loved the Frankinstien movie with the guy who played the Werewolf in the horror movie.. Abbott and Costello are great.. so many skits of theirs are just epic, and even better because they are live.. I love watching the black and white shows and seeing them mess up, start laughing and have to keep on going.
I haven't seen Paul Hogan's stand up.. I'd defiantly have too look it up.. Love the Crocodile Dundee movies!

Carlin has always been a big favorite. He may be crass, but he does get the point across.
Another fave is Gallagher. "SLEDGE -O- MATIC!". And he too also makes good points.
As for the classics, Marx Brothers all the way.

I love the movie TEAM AMERICA, because it is a Satyr of us. Its humerus, but it gives a good philosophical message at the same time. Pootietang is an amazing movie to me. No philosophy, just random insanity. Story of Ricky and "The cat". Both hong kong films from the same directory. The first incredibly bloody and violent, the second... just... amazing fight between a Cat and a dog... a must watch! Both of these are so over the top they are hilarious. The cat (aka Lao Mao): www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tc2nfqqjb5A this is the best scene in the movie. BEST ANIMAL FIGHT SCENE EVER! I second Arcanus with Gallagher. He also questions the idiosyncrasies of our society with questions like, "Why do they call it shipment if its on a truck, and CAR-GO if its on a ship!?" or the English language. "Comb (coh-omb). Tomb (Toh-omb?? NOOOO! Toomb). Why is it spelled that way!? And anything from Mel Brooks, Kevin Smith, and that stars Leslie Nielsen.

Mel Brooks just got awarded the AFI award.. pretty awesome for him, Space Balls, Men in Tights and History of the World are just some of my favorite movies.
Kevin Smith is amazing as far as I'm concerned, not just for Jay and Silent Bob but also Red State (not a comedy) and his book 'Tough Shit' is just great. Can't wait for the 3rd Clerks either!

Oh yes, Mel Brooks. My favorite Line from Young Frankenstein: "Werewolf?" "There wolf, there castle..."
And do I even have to mention Monty Python?

Red State is ridiculously good.. and has humorous moments.. I love it when the bells start chiming... (and now you have to see it in order to know what I'm talking about..)
Monty Python is of course a comedy genius.. Holy Grail being the best, but Meaning of Life and Life of Brian are pretty damn good too.
I also love:
The Whole Nine/Ten Yards Princess Bride MST3K (and out of respect almost every Rifftrax) Fifth Element Shawn of the Dead Saving Grace Silence of the Hams (Spoof of Silence of the Lambs with Don Delouse) Naked Gun Hangover triology Due Date Hot Tub Time Machine Fear and Loathing in Las Vagas Tucker and Dale vs Evil (seriously funny movie about horror movie misconceptions) South Park
..all I can think of for now but I know there's a bunch I'm missing

One of the most hilarious movies I have ever seen was "What's Up Doc", which had nothing to do directly with Bugs Bunny. It was a Barbara Streisand, Ryan O'Neal, Madeline Cahn offering which plays out much as a live action Looney Tunes. That reminds me of another "live action Looney Tune", The Villain in which Kirk Douglas repeatedly tries to rob people - much like Wiley Coyote kept trying to eat the Roadrunner.

At our D&D table, the Monty Python and Princess Bride quotes were so bad that I had to DEDUCT experience points every time someone quoted those movies just to keep the game going...
Player: "Nih!" Me: "That just cost you 100 xp!" Player: "D'oh!"
As you know, those movies are required watching for entering the hallowed halls of uber-geekdom.

I will have to check this out. Wiley Coyote was a child hood favorite of mine, I always rooted for him lol. I loved the crazy gadgets he would get
